Senator Titus has served in the Legislature for five sessions. She is known as an experienced, tough but thoughtful, pragmatic conservative policy setter who prioritizes individual liberty, constitutional rights, and fiscal responsibility.
Dr. Titus' goal is to make Nevada the best place in America to live, work, and raise a family.
Her great-grandfather came to Nevada in 1866, to try his hand at mining. In the 1880s, her family settled in Smith Valley.
Dr. Titus completed undergrad and med school at UNR and returned home to serve as a rural family practice doctor. Dr. Titus has been serving patients for 42 years. She also served as Chief of Staff at the Lyon County Hospital and on the State Board of Medical Examiners and remains the Lyon County Health Officer.
Dr. Titus enjoys tennis, golfing, skiing, hunting, fishing, hiking, wine tasting, gardening, and spending time with her family and grandkids. She is a longtime proud NRA member and CCW holder, avid early morning runner including ten marathon completions, instrument-rated pilot, and has climbed to Mt. Everest base camp and summited Mt. Whitney and Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.
Nevada has given her the opportunity to be a doctor, a conservative policy setter, and a small business owner. Dr. Titus lives in Wellington with her husband, retired Lyon County Sheriff Allen Veil.
